Apex Police Department Under Construction

NBC17 is reporting that construction of the new Police Department is on schedule.

Construction of the new Apex Police Department is in full force and Chief Jack Lewis said they’re only about two days behind schedule because of weather.

Currently, the steel base of the building is being put in place and in just weeks the roof will also be built. The crews will then start on the inside of the facility which will make up for lost days because they can work through the rain.

Lewis said they plan to finish the project on time this December. He says they will also open Saunders Street to the public in the next couple of weeks.
