Bland Landscaping wins integrity award

Bland Landscaping, a full-service residential and commercial landscaping company, was honored with the 2011 Integrity in Business Award at the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce’s Pinnacle Awards ceremony on May 3. The award recognizes a stand-out business that demonstrates dedication to corporate responsibility, integrity and ethics.

The landscaping firm was selected for the Integrity in Business Award for its adherence to corporate citizenship, as well as the ethics, morals and values upon which the company was founded. For 35 years, Bland Landscaping has been investing in employees and the community. It also has a strong commitment to reducing waste and its impact on the environment in everyday operations.

In 2009, the company became one of the first businesses in the nation to achieve Green Plus Certification by the Institute of Sustainable Development. The following year, Bland Landscaping won the 2010 N.C. Mobile CARE award for outstanding efforts to reduce transportation related emissions. The award was sponsored by the N.C. Department of Transportation, N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources Division of Air Quality and the N.C. Department of Administration State Energy Office.
